Adult Immunisations

Adult immunisations are not something a lot of people think of, but they are just as important as childhood immunisations.

Booster doses of childhood immunisations may be required to maintain immunity from certain diseases (such as whooping cough). This is particularly important for new parents, immediate carers and guardians (grandmother/grandfather).

New vaccines have been developed that were not previously available which provide better immunity. Immunisations recommended for adults can relate to your age, Indigenous status, occupation, previous injury or illness, immunisation history, travel plans, if you are planning to start a family or just part of your health plan.
